Although there is no way to know how many nominations we will receive this year, we can provide an estimate of the success rate based on data from previous competitions. The success rate for eligible proposals in the 2008 competition was 14%.

Although there is no way to know how many nominations we will receive this year, we can provide an estimate of the success rate based on data from previous competitions. The most recent competitions were in 2004 and 2006. In 2004, there were 71 nominations, 21 semi-finalists (full research & mentoring plan was evaluated), 12 finalists (candidates were interviewed), and 4 awards. In 2006, there were 65 nominations, 29 semi-finalists, 15 finalists, and 7 awards. Based on these numbers, grants were awarded to 5-10% of nominees.
