The Subscriber Line Charge is an FCC-approved, flat rate monthly charge paid by consumers to their Local Telephone Company so that the Local Telephone Company can recover the costs associated with connecting customers to the network which are not recovered in Local rates. AT&T bills refer to it as the Subscriber Line Charge. On California bills, this charge is called the Network Access for Interstate Calling Charge. This charge applies only if you have AT&T Local Service with us. This is not a government charge or tax.
