The Subdivision Regulations apply to all property within the corporate limits of the City of McKinney as well as areas outside of the corporate limits of the City, but within the extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) of the City. The subdivision, or platting, process can take anywhere from approximately one month to several months depending on a multitude of factors.
