What is the Student Engagement Questionnaire (SEQ)?
The AUSSE survey instrument is the Student Engagement Questionnaire (SEQ) which is designed to be administered to first- and third-year undergraduate students. The SEQ measures student engagement with items in six different scales – Academic Challenge, Active Learning, Student and Staff Interactions, Enriching Educational Experiences, Supportive Learning Environment, and Work Integrated Learning. The SEQ also collects information on self-reported learning and development outcomes, average overall grades, retention intentions, overall satisfaction, and a range of individual demographics and educational contexts.
