What is the structure of the GMAT?
The GMAT is administered on computer, and includes 3 major sections, with 2 or 3 question types (see the question type overview for more details) on each section, and 8 minute breaks in between sections: • Analytical Writing Assessment – 60 minutes, 2 essays, Analysis of Issue and Analysis of Argument • Quantitative – 75 minutes, 37 questions, Problem Solving interspersed with Data Sufficiency • Verbal – 75 minutes, 41 questions, Reading Comp interspersed with Critical Reasoning and Sentence Correction questions.
