What is the strongest breed of dog?
Thats impossible to answer but Ive heard the Dogo Argentino is the strongest dog breed. The English Mastiff is the heaviest. The Bully Kutta is the tallest. The Mastiff breeds have the strongest jaws. The Border Collie is the smartest. The Greyhound and Whippet is the fastest. American Bulldogs have the strongest weight pull. Im only 14 so I dont have as much experience as maybe other people do.
The psi has not tested in a reliable way; there are multiple answers, videos and surveys that all give different answers to this question and often base off of only a few dogs of different breeds and take the measurement to mean it is true for all the canine world. PSI is mostly indicated by the dogs desire to bite. Yes a GSD has a significantly stronger bite then a chihuahua but he may easily outrank a rottweiler with a lesser desire for use of his bite force. When you say ‘guarding type of strength’ what do you mean. Guarding would imply temperament and strengths would lie in different variables rather then in one breed.
Pitbulls can take out 5 times their weight. They would be consider strongest in comparison to weight. Mastiff breeds are strong too (Cane Corso). Rottweilers are pretty strong too. Domestic dogs: 320 LBS of pressure on avg. A German Shepard, American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) and Rottweiler were tested using a bite sleeve equipped with a specialized computer instrument.
