What is the Strathclyde Centre for Forensic Science?

0

The Centre for Forensic Science is incorporated into the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry. Its members provide the specialist teaching and training in forensic science to accompany the core chemistry and analytical chemistry taught by the other staff. There are currently 6 staff in the Centre who are all professionally active forensic scientists. This means that they take on real legal casework, advise bodies such as the Home Office and FBI, and pursue research into new methods of detection. Each staff member has particular areas of expertise as shown below (these are also the areas in which final year undergraduate research projects will be available).
