While some web applications built with Web Application Designer (WAD) can be rebuilt in XCelsius or WebI (some simple dashboards etc.), more complex analytical or planning applications require additional development APIs. Within SAP BusinessObjects Advanced Analysis, an SDK is planned to be available in H2 2011 that will enable customers to easily design this kind of applications. Web Application Designer is still being maintained as part of BEx portfolio.
