There are two main protagonists in this book. One is a doctor who is in desperate need of raising money in order to keep her community heath clinic. However this thirty four year old has many other worries besides her clinic. She knows her biological clock is ticking and with her working schedule it is almost impossible to find a man to start a family with. Untill she meets Holden who is ready to offer her one million dollars so as to save her clinic, but obviously there are terms. He will pay her on a condition that she will marry him.
