What is the story on the little máXimo guy?
Our máXimo man is based on a flat stamp produced in Tlatilco, a pre-Columbian city that was located in the Valley of Mexico west of present-day Mexico City. The figure dates from somewhere around 1200 B.C. to 900 B.C., more than a millennium before the Aztec civilization reached its height. We think he represents all that is wonderful about Latin America: a timeless aesthetic quality which seems to fit perfectly in the modern world.
