Linkin Park, following their success after their albums Hybrid Theory and Meteora, are all set to release their new album Minutes to Midnight on May 14, 2007. The band put in more than 14 months of hard work for developing the album, and composed more than 101 song demo. Vocalist Mike Shinoda says “it is a breakthrough in the band’s sound”. The band is currently in the process of selecting those tracks that would appear in the album. The band is composed of a whole new personality of songs, with songs been performed using a whole new array of instruments, including banjos, marimbas and vintage guitars. Supposedly the band is projecting a whole new sound, quite different form their former albums. The single ‘What I’ve done’ has already made a hotshot début in the USA.
