What is the status on the three fields with ONGC?
We are the operator on these fields and have so far reviewed the work done by ONGC on these fields. After reprocessing the data, we have prepared a road map, which envisages a step-by-step approach to reach the production stage. This includes work over of wells, seismic reprocessing, setting up of development plan and then implementation of the same. In the recent past there has been a rise in costs of allied oil services. How does this impact the industry? As the crude prices have increased significantly, so also have the prices for allied services like drilling rigs, equipments and accessories. Thus, in order to have substantial development in the field of oil and gas, major industry players like ONGC will have to make sure that these services are available on a timely basis and at a lower price.
