What is the status of the reciprocity agreement with Minnesota?
Minnesota’s reciprocity agreement terminates on December 31, 2009. This change will not affect calendar year filers filing 2009 Wisconsin income tax returns. Beginning January 1, 2010 income earned in Minnesota by Wisconsin residents will be reportable in both states. On 2010 income tax returns, Wisconsin residents owing tax to Minnesota may use Schedule OS to claim the credit for net tax paid to another state.
