What is the status of the parking lot across from Rembrandts?
A. The abandoned Philadelphia School Board Lot, with which we have enjoyed free parking since 1985, was opened as a pay lot on February 1, 2000 . The result is easily the nicest looking parking lot in the city. It is a well-lit, tree-lined, tree-filled, 274-space, parking lot with a decorative six-foot fence, brick-columned corner and middle gates and an attractive trolley stop and sculpture plaza at the corner of 22nd St. and Fairmount Avenue. The entrance is on Fairmount Avenue between 22nd and 23rd streets. Charges for parking are $3.00 per hour, $6.00 per day , $8.00 per evening and $60.00 per month for out-of-area residents. The lot will be secured at night and is manned 24 hours a day. Entrance to the lot after midnight is on Fairmount Avenue. The lot will be plowed immediately after snowstorms.
