What is the status of the master plan for the parklands and facilities?
” Coursen said that the master plan cannot be addressed until the audit of the town finances can be completed. She said that audit will take approximately six months. Councilman Mike Montemarano then said that he believes the board can move forward with the master plan without waiting for the audit, and Councilmen Bill Johnson, Jim Benson and Robert Marvin agreed. Coursen agreed with this approach, and agreed to put the master plan back on the agenda for future meetings. Johnson said he believes the audit will show that the town is in sound financial condition, and that there will be nothing in it that would prevent the board from moving forward with the master plan. Benson said the board should revisit the matter of what should be expected in and from the Parkland and Facilities Master Plan. He said that the report from the Parkland Planner, Zarecki & Associates of Pawling, may constitute the master plan. Benson was referring to the Resource Inventory Report released on June 11, 2004
