What is the status of the incubator proposed by Ancient City Enterprise Center (ACEC)?
Discussions and planning a business incubator has been in progress since February of 2009. This has resulted in the incorporation of ACEC as a 501(c)(3) public charity corporation, the formation of a steering committee and a board of directors, and the development of an initial business plan for the incubator. Further, a written survey and focus groups have been conducted to gain guidance from the community of St. Johns County regarding the direction that the incubator should take. ACEC is now ready to begin a pilot project to demonstrate proof of concept for this project.
