What is the status of the entrance gates?
To make a long story reasonably short, the entrance and exit gates were installed as swinging gates by the developer. For various reasons, they have not functioned correctly. Some of the reasons had to do with design and installation methods and some with damage done to the gates by people forcing their way in or out with their vehicles. A few months ago, the Board decided to convert the gates from “swingers” to “sliders” to reduce the need for frequent repairs caused by stress on the gates and vandalism damage. Competitive bids were sought and a contract was approved. One side was completed. We then discovered that there were some things that needed to be done to make the gate work better and to ensure that it lasts longer between repairs. We actively sought more bids during this time. We worked to retain another contractor after the entrance side was converted. The new contractor will fix the issues with the entrance gate and convert the exit to slide open and closed like the entranc
