What is the statement of accounts?
The Statement of Accounts is produced annually by the County Treasurer and contains the Council’s accounts covering the financial year which ends on 31 March each year. The accounts include a consolidated revenue account showing the total expenditure and income of the Council for the year and a balance sheet which lists all the assets and liabilities of the Council at 31 March. There is also an explanation of the way the figures are calculated, called the Accounting Policies. Wiltshire Council’s Statement of Accounts includes summary accounts of the Wiltshire Pension Fund and Trust Funds, which can be found at the back of the Statement of Accounts.
