What is the standard Polaris pool cleaner booster pump pressure?
Contact the manufacturer if you do not have the manual. In the manual it should state how to calculate if there is too much or adequate presure, by holding the polaris just under the surface of the water and counting the rotations of the wheels per minute. It might vary depending on the model. If the rotations are correct then there may be something wrong internally with the gears or the drive belts. This could be caused by corrosive water or general wear and tear from age. If you are handy with taking things apart and putting them back together properly try ordering the parts from Polaris. If it is new and a warranty issue definately call your distributor and have them fix it. The first step is defininately counting the rotations and changing your pressure by either cleaning your filter chemically, or by backwashing; adjusting your valves to main drain suction and skimmer suction if debris in the skimmer/pump basket is an issue; and making sure there are not too many links in the clea
