There is no standard examination procedure. The procedure followed depends upon the type of exam given (i.e., Education & Experience vs. Knowledge-based tests) and if CUNY has elected to participate in an exam to be given by New York State or by New York City. The University Civil Service Examinations Unit makes every effort to let applicants know all of the relevant examination procedures before the date of the exam.
