What is the SSAIB and why is it important to use an SSAIB-registered installer?
The SSAIB (Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board) is an assessment organisation approved by the SIA (Security Industry Authority). They operate a certification scheme which requires installers to comply with up to date and relevant British and European safety standards, and high standards of service. The SSAIB accreditation scheme is recognised by insurers and is subject to independent scrutiny. All of this means that when you choose an installer which has been approved by the SSAIB, you can be sure that all work carried out by their staff is of a very high standard and complies with all relevant safety legislation.
