What is the SRF?
The SRF is the first cross-agency legacy of the 2012 Olympics. It describes what the five host boroughs – Greenwich, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest – are going to do to make changes in people’s lives as a result of investment in the Olympics. The framework as one overall aim: within 20 years the communities who host the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will have the same social and economic chances as their neighbours across London. The SRF will influence all aspects of the regeneration of the area for the next 20 years, and will work by improving the co-ordination and delivery of policies, providing a strategic, cross-borough blueprint for improvement.
