Based in Janesville, Wisconsin, Spirit Horse Equine Rescue is a fairly new equine welfare organization, focused on rescuing unwanted horses and providing education in natural horsemanship. Currently, all Spirit Horse Equine Rescue horses are housed in foster care situations in South Central Wisconsin. Funds raised in 2010 may be applied towards costs of constructing a facility for keeping unwanted equines awaiting more permanent placements.
