What Is The Spindle Lock?

0

Often the spindle lock consists of a button located on top of the gear head housing. It is usually protected from accidental use by some form of shroud. Its function when pressed is to stop the spindle from rotating to enable a single tool to be used to release the outer flange when changing the abrasive disc. Never operate the spindle lock whilst the tool is spinning as serious damage will be the result.
