The whole of Barking Road (which forms part of the A124 between the A406 and Canning Town) has a 30mph speed limit. I don’t know the speed at which this particular SCAMera is triggered. I don’t condone speeding, but I think you can guess how I feel about cameras. I recommend reading the PePiPoo website and its related forum for help in combating fixed penalty notices, if you feel you have a case. Follow their advice if you receive a Notice of Intended Prosecution, and always demand to see the photographic evidence (as is your right). Bear in mind that if you were only a small amount over the speed limit, you might be offered a place on a one-day speed awareness course (about £95 and NO penalty points) as an alternative to the normal fine and 3 points.
