What is the Special Zylon® Body Armor Replacement Fund program?
The Special Zylon®Body Armor Replacement Fund program is a special one-time grant program to assist eligible agencies in the replacement of their Zylon® vests. Agencies that are eligible to participate in the annual Body Armor Replacement Fund Program can participate in the Special Zylon® program. To qualify for this program, applicant agencies must have Zylon® vests that are currently worn by eligible officers but have insufficient funds available to replace these vests. Applications to participate in this Special Zylon® program must be filed no later than July 31, 2006.
