What is the Special Techniques Class?
The dance genre taught in the Special Techniques class changes from semester to semester and year to year. In 2009 – 2010, Tinka Guttrick-Dailey taught style jazz and Musical Theatre Dance. In previous years, dancers took classes in Spanish dance, choreography, jazz, and character. In 2010 – 2011 students will study composition and prepare college audition solos and collaborate on group pieces.
