What is the special instructional process used for teaching PIPE and Emotional Beginnings?
The instructional model is a four-step process. It includes not only a presentation of concepts and information but also an opportunity to see how the information applies to building a relationship between caregiver and child. Caregivers then practice these new relationship-building skills with the support of a knowledgeable and caring coach. Integral to the instructional process is an opportunity for caregivers to evaluate, from their own experience, how these new skills enhance their relationship with a child.
