What is the Spark?
We want your help to design new mobile applications each year that will tackle a social or environmental issue we all care about. Everyone can get involved by helping us choose the issues to focus on and share ideas for mobile applications. We then look into turning the ideas into real mobile applications that will be launched for people to use. We also have groups of young people joining in, exploring how to take great ideas and turn them into reality. They’re finding out more about social and environmental issues and sharing ideas for how they think mobiles can make a difference. They spend time coming up with ideas for volunteering projects that will have an impact in their own community and how they can really make them happen The Spark is run in partnership with TimeBank, experts in youth volunteering and local youth-focused organisations in UK communities where we have offices.
