What is the South Santa Fe Commerce Center?

0

The South Santa Fe Commerce Center (“SSCC”) is an 80 acre industrial and light industrial redevelopment located on the west side of Santa Fe, South of Titan Parkway. The site was formerly owned by Molycorp, but has recently been environmentally cleaned and is approved for re-development by the State of Colorado. The SSCC will be redeveloped to include approximately 200,000 square feet of new rail served office warehouses on the east side and aggregate distribution supporting ready-mix concrete and asphalt plants on the west side. The site is bisected by both the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) and Union Pacific (UP) railroad tracks, and will be one of the few dual served, state of the art industrial parks in the state. To support the infrastructure required for the South Santa Fe Commerce Center, the South Santa Fe Metropolitan District (SSMD) will be created to finance, construct and maintain the roads, wastewater and water systems, and landscaping.
