The instrumental piece playing when Lestat attacks the Interviewer is a reprisal of “Lestat’s Recitative” (a piece writen for the film) and Lestat puts Guns and Rose’s cover of Sympathy for the Devil on when he turns the tape off. Haydn’s Sonata in E Flat Adagio E Cantabile is the music that both Lestat and Claudia play during the film. And Lestat’s Recitative is very similar.
