What is the Society for Lunar Exploration and Development?
The Society for Lunar Exploration and Development (SLED) is the world’s leading citizen advocacy group whose primary concern is the future of the moon and privatized ownership and development of lunar real estate. The Society takes its mission seriously and is committed towards establishing a means of equitable, legal and affordable ownership of lunar property. A proud and distinguished member of the Lunar Hall of Fame, the Society for Lunar Exploration and Development believes that lunar property ownership should not be limited to large corporations, real-estate development enterprises and mining interests. While these (and all other businesses) certainly play a role in the future of the moon and privatized ownership and development of lunar real estate, they should not be the sole controllers of its fate.
