When any defendant’s actions are considered to serve a socially useful purpose then they may then have been considered justified in looking to taking greater risks supported by the decision in Watt v. Hertfordshire County Council [1954] 2 All ER 368 along with the remit of section 1 of the Compensation Act 2006.
