What is the Sliding Module Extrusion?
Sliding Module Extrusions make up the frame of the PBB 2550. They have 3 channels: one dovetailed channel on the top/face (which accepts the Smart Clamps, Connectors Extrusions and the Bridge mounts) and two side channels (which accept the head of a 5/16″ hex bolt). They can be used for jig-making applications, as well as allowing the Smart Clamps to be used as hold-downs. A common function of the Sliding Module Extrusions on Power Benches is to allow for an expandable cutting surface through use of moving panels called “sliding modules”. • Click here for a demonstration of sliding modules.
