What is the sizing accuracy of MFI?
MFI accuracy for measuring particle size is ± 5% (below 5 µm, accuracy is rated at ± 0.5 µm). Note that NIST-traceable size standards also have an inherent accuracy (typically ± 5%) that is incremental to the MFI accuracy. However, all MFI instruments are verified to be within the stated accuracy of the nominal value of the specific standard used during manufacture.
