What is the situation regarding keys?
The buyer usually collects the keys from the estate agents, who will have been advised by the sellers conveyancer that the money has been paid on completion day. Where no agent is involved, the seller will hand the keys over to the buyer, as advised by their conveyancer. Delays may occur where a conveyancer is waiting for mortgage monies or sale monies to arrive, or there is a long chain.
