What is the Single Regeneration Budget?
The Single Regeneration Budget is government money earmarked for the regeneration of this area. Groundwork are using that money to offer a small block grant scheme to artists and community groups as well as to develop markets, audiences and long-term strategies for continued growth of arts practise in Foleshill and Longford. Project aims Fiona and Saskia have already set themselves some aims to get the project off the ground. These include: Contact practising artists, craftspeople, community artists and community groups in the area Identify opportunities for people to participate in the arts Find out what kinds of arts activities are already taking place Find suitable venues for project work with communities Set up a communication network, website, and “skills bank” for arts activities Develop audiences for the arts Provide support to community groups who want to be involved in arts activities Provide advice and support to community groups and artists looking to raise funding for their
