What is the significance of the word ” orphans” and “mother “in this verse ?
I don’t know what kind of a n answer you are looking for but this is what I’ve understood: If there are orphans and people think that they won’t be able to do justice with them then marry their mothers so then it would be easier for them to look after them.But this can only take place if they think they can be fair to all their wives. By the way,according to hadith,a man who marries more than one and does not remain fair to all of them,he will come forward in the day of judgement with only half a body.So its a pretty big responsibility a man is taking up when he’s marrying more than one.This decision could destroy his life here and the hereafter.Thats why Islam has only allowed it not enforced it.
