What is the significance of the Salvation Army Flag?
While the flag is not though of as sacred by Salvationists it is regarded with great respect. The blue border on the flag represents the holiness of God. The red is a reminder to us of the blood Jesus shed when he was crucified to save us and the yellow star in the centre represents the power of God’s Holy Spirit. The first Corps Flag was presented to Coventry Corps by Catherine Booth, Mother of The Salvation Army.
