What is the significance of the pink line next to the “T”?
“T” stands for “Test”. The purpose of the test line check for antibodies to the HIV virus. A pink line next to the “T” indicates presence of HIV antibodies, and presence of the HIV infection. However, if there is no pink line next to “C”, then the test is invalid and should be repeated using another test kit device. As false positives can happen, if you test positive, it is important you see your doctor for a confirmatory test.
