What is the significance of the key (for Netscape, a lock for Microsoft) in the lower left-hand corner of the screen?
If the key (or lock) is broken, this will indicate that the customer is in a non-secure area of our site (or any site on the Internet). In reference to the web site, the key (or lock) will be broken when you are in the following areas: Market Watch, Quotes, Investment Ideas and Customer Service. The key (or lock) will be full when you are in a secure area (Portfolio or Trading). Note! When a lock is full, that means whatever transaction/information you are requesting is coming to in an encrypted manner. This is to prevent hackers from accessing this vital information.
