What is the significance of psychology as a field to the Nigeria Police?
Psychology is the study of human behaviour. Crimes are as a result of poor or negative behaviourism. We detect crime through people’s behaviours and offer solutions to change such instances. From your research, what is the relationship between the Nigeria Police and the citizens? I will approach this question in two ways. I discovered that the relationship is in two forms. Uneducated policemen are usuallys hostile and harsh. They are the ones who are always ready to pull the trigger at the slightest provocation. This attitude is due to frustration. Those who fall into this category know that no matter how long they stay in the force their promotion is limited. Their salary is small compared to that of the educated ones. The educated ones are to some extent friendly and cordial. They have better manners of approach.
