What is the significance of Henry Ford?
Not only did he invent cars and manufacturing methods, he also invented agriculture machinery and was an aviation pioneer. The airplane he built, the Ford Tri-Motor,built from 1925 to 1931 was called the Model T of the skies One of them was the first airplane to fly over the South Pole and is still on display in the museum he built in Dearborn, Michigan. His museum and Greenfield Village is an amazing place. It has Orville and Wilbur Wright’s actual house and bicycle store which he had disassembled in Ohio and reconstructed there. It also has Thomas Edison’s huge shop from New Jersey and the first house that was ever wired for electricity and many other things. His museum has the first front wheel drive car which was built in 1923. It was a Ford race car. It also has the first Mustang car which was not a Ford but a Rambler. Check it out if you ever have the chance.
