What is the SHPO Consultation List?
The SHPO Consultation List is a list of work items that are common weatherization actions. The list is divided into three sections: 1) items that are unlikely to have an effect on historic properties – projects limited to these items do not need to be reviewed by the SHPO; 2) items that will not have an effect on historic properties depending on certain conditions – as long as the conditions are met, the SHPO does not need to review the project; and 3) projects that require consultation with the SHPO. If your project includes any work items in the third category, then you will need to send your project to us for review. The list is intended to reduce the number of projects that the SHPO reviews, saving time for both you and us. The SHPO Consultation List applies to all homes 50 years of age or older.
