What is the shortest crown height that can be accomplished with Direct Gold Copings?
Spline Direct Gold Copings: Using the shortest cuff height (0.5 for the 3.25 or 3.75/4.0mm diameter, 1mm for 5.0 mm diameter implants) the shortest crown height would be 4.5 mm and 5.0 mm tall, respectively. This is without shortening the head of the screw. Although minimum reduction of the screw head is possible it is not recommended due to the reduction of the hex engagement of the tools and the increased potential for stripping of the screw heaad. Screw-Vent, Tapered Screw-Vent, Taper-Lock, AdVent Direct Gold Copings: Once all the restorative components are in place, and after the abutment is reduced to its minimum, the vertical height will be approximately 3.6mm for Screw-Vent, 4.9mm for Taper-Lock, and 4.0mm for AdVent Implants.
