• A two-way communication tool only for current SHiNE members. • Advertisement free. • User-friendly. • Topically organized to makes viewing easier. • Cool tools. The Forum has many tools for navigation and use. “My Assistant” is one such tool, it immediately pulls up previously unseen messages (among many other things). • A separate Kid’s Forum — adult monitored. • Encourage a sense of community among SHiNE families. • Acts as a document storage house containing documents for only the eyes of the membership. What the SHiNE Forum is not • It is not a communication tool for the purpose of sending out messages that need to go out to ALL members. There are some families, about 10-15% of the membership, who choose not to be on the Forum. • Messages that need to go out to all members are sent (in BCC) by the SHiNE Secretary through the Members Distribution List.
