For compounds using most elastomers, Parco recommends the shelf life stated in SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) 5316, Storage of Aerospace Elastomeric Seals and Seal Assemblies Which Include an Elastomer Element Prior to Hardware Assembly. For compounds using elastomers not listed in that document, Parco recommends the shelf life stated in MIL-HDBK-695, Rubber Products: Recommended Shelf Life.
