What is the shelf life of Harvest Foodworks products?
From 1997 onwards, all our products display a “best before” date, which is typically 2 years after the date the product was manufactured (1 year in the case of meat/fish products). Ideal storage locations for Harvest products are dark and dry places. Products containing cheese sauces will begin to deteriorate soonest after their “best before” date. Mayonnaise (used in our cold-prep salads) is microbiologically safe to eat for an indefinite period of time. During extended storage, however, the flavours are likely to pass their peak, and if stored in cold conditions, it may begin to separate, but is still safe to eat and stirring will usually restore the original consistency.
