What is the “Share the Table: The State of Dinnertime in America,” study?
Barilla commissioned a landmark study to understand people’s actual practices and beliefs regarding family meals. The study found that while Americans still value family dinner immensely—and on average sit down at the table with others four nights each week—many agree that sometimes it feels like their family is a disconnected group of individuals living under one roof. The good news is that Americans have a desire to reconnect and view dinnertime as the leading way to do so. There is a desire to not only eat together more often, but also for quality dinnertime interactions with greater conversation and fewer distractions. That is why Barilla has launched Share the Table.
