What is the sequence of events from application to the first day of camp?
Applications are accepted until March 1st. Applications are reviewed by a selection committee and campers are selected based upon the merit of their application. In mid-March letters are sent out notifying applicants of their status: accepted, alternate, or declined. Accepted applicants will have approximately a one month period to accept their camper position, and to submit their camp payment and final paperwork. If circumstances have changed, admitted campers are requested to quickly decline their camper position so that alternates can be contacted. If an applicant misses this deadline, the first alternate will be notified that a camper spot is available. Campers will receive the “Boiler Vet Camp” Survival Guide which will provide all necessary information about what to bring to camp and other camp details.
